John Simon Ritchie, meglio noto come Sid Vicious (Londra, 10 maggio 1957 – New York, 2 febbraio 1979), è stato un bassista e cantante britannico, membro della band punk rock dei Sex Pistols.
Nato da John Ritchie, guardia a Buckingham Palace e suonatore semiprofessionista di trombone nella scena jazz di Londra, e da Anne McDonald. Poco dopo la nascita di John Simon, il padre lascia la famiglia, e madre e figlio si trasferiscono a Ibiza. Nel 1965, Anne sposerà Christopher Beverley, del quale John Simon adotterà il cognome, diventando John Simon Beverley o anche John Beverley.
