Kite
The stag beetle has two pairs of wings: the first are very robust and have no ribs; the latter are lighter and are folded under the former. It owes its name to the presence of two structures that resemble the horns of a deer, but which are nothing more than very developed jaws, more in the male than in the female. These "horns" are used for fighting during the reproductive period and make the male appear more formidable than he actually is, in fact the muscles are not able to forcefully move these gigantic jaws which are therefore rather harmless. In the female, on the other hand, being smaller they are also much more effective and allow the bearer to pinch with more force and with greater damage. The mandibles allow to distinguish the male from the female.
