Praying mantis
The praying mantis lives in warm regions from southern Europe to Poland, and in Asia and Africa, while it was accidentally introduced in North America and Australia.
It is an insect with an unmistakable shape as the two front legs have changed to capture prey and have taken on the appearance of pincers equipped with sharp hooks. The color of the livery is bright green and on the head the short antennae, the compound eyes and the robust mandibles are observed. The females are much larger and reach a maximum length of 75 mm against only 50 mm of the male.
