Jewel made entirely by hand by the Italian craftsman Gianmarco Fontana. This 925 Silver ring depicting the pestilence, which is part of the “Knights of the Apocalypse” collection.
«When the Lamb opened the third seal, I heard the third living being cry out:« Come ». And behold, a black horse appeared to me and he who was riding it had a balance in his hand. And I heard a voice cry out in the midst of the four living creatures: "One measure of grain for one dime and three measures of barley for one dime!" Oil and wine are not wasted ». "
The third horseman symbolizes famine, often associated with war, and its effects: death (the black color). This is confirmed by the mention of a very high price for wheat and barley. The price of oil and wine, however, is not touched. Since these are autumn products, this could indicate precise temporal limits placed by God on the instrument of destruction. Alternatively, being products not essential for survival, it would signal that the famine caused by war affects the common population and does not affect the rich. The detail, therefore, highlights social injustice.
