Python
The head of the pythons is large, distinct from the body. The teeth are hook-shaped. The eye is small, with a vertical pupil.
Like all other species of snakes, they too are carnivores, and, given the size that some specimens reach, they can feed on animals of considerable size such as antelopes or deer. Pythons have no venom, and they kill using muscle strength; they wrap the coils around the body of the prey and compress it to the point of causing death by circulatory arrest, and not suffocation as is commonly believed.
Pythons are able to swallow even large prey whole, thanks to the square bone and elastic ligaments that weakly bind the jaw to the skull.
