Ken Kaneki
Ken Kaneki (金 木 研, Kaneki Ken) is the protagonist / hero of Tokyo Ghoul, its anime and Tokyo Ghoul: re.
In the past, he was a boy who studied Japanese literature at Kamii University, living a normal life, but everything changes after Rize Kamishiro's Kakuhou is transplanted into him, thus becoming an artificial Ghoul. After joining the Antiiku as a part-time waiter, he learns to live like a real Ghoul and is nicknamed Bendato (眼 帯, Gantai), due to the patch he wears to cover his Sekigan.
After being captured by the Aogiri Tree, he is tortured by Yamori and at that moment tormented by the memory of Rize, he decides to accept his side as a Ghoul. Form a team to protect the people you care about most, and seek out information about Rize and Kanou.
