The more than three hundred breeds of horses are divided according to build (dolichomorphs, mesomorphs and brachymorphs) and according to temperament (cold-blooded, half-blooded and the so-called thoroughbreds). The brachymorphic type includes draft horses (Shire, Vladimir, Gypsy Vanner, etc.), the dolichomorphic type the "light saddle breeds" (English and Arab thoroughbreds, trotters, etc.), while the mesomorphic type includes the "saddle breeds" from saddle "(English and American, Quarter Horse, trotters, etc.).
