Jewel made entirely by hand by the Italian craftsman Gianmarco Fontana. Ring made of 925 Silver, which is part of the "ANIMAL'S HUGS" collection depicting a rattlesnake.
The name derives from the Greek krotalon which means "rattle" and refers to the typical horned ring rattle present on the final part of the tail, which is a distinctive feature of this genus and of the genus Sistrurus.
The length of snakes belonging to the genus Crotalus varies from 50-60 cm (C. intermedius, C. pricei), up to over 150 cm (C. adamanteus, C. atrox). Adult males are usually slightly larger than females. Compared to most snakes, they have a stocky body, triangular head and short tail, although some African vipers are more massive. Most of these snakes are easily recognized by the characteristic rattle present at the end of the tail, although some island populations are exceptions.
