Rattlesnake
The length of snakes belonging to the genus Crotalus varies from 50-60 cm (C. intermedius, C. pricei), up to over 150 cm (C. adamanteus, C. atrox). [3] Adult males are usually slightly larger than females. Compared to most snakes, they have a stocky body, triangular head and short tail, although some African vipers are more massive. Most of these snakes are easily recognized by the characteristic rattle present at the end of the tail.
