Material
Jewel made entirely by hand by the Italian craftsman Gianmarco Fontana. Pendant made of 925 silver, which is part of the "Animalia" collection depicting the head of an elephant.

In addition to the tusks, the elephant has 4 other huge teeth (molars). The intestine is exceptionally long (in African species it measures an average of 37 meters) and predisposed to the digestion of any type of vegetable. The elephant's brain is four times bigger than that of a human (in proportion, however, it is smaller, because an elephant weighs about 100 times more than a human being).
Despite the outward similarity, African and Asian elephants have some important anatomical differences. The skeleton of the African elephant has 21 pairs of ribs and 26 caudal vertebrae, while the Asian elephant has 19 and 33 respectively. In the first the skull is flattened on the forehead, in the second very curved. In the Asian elephant the tusks, present only in the males, are shorter than those of the African elephant. Another visible difference between the African elephant and the Asian elephant is the size of the ears: the first has much larger auricles (183 cm long and 114 cm wide) than those of the second (60 cm long and 30 cm). cm wide).
