Predator
Predator is a 1987 sci-fi horror film directed by John McTiernan.
The screenplay of the film tells the story of an alien (belonging to the yautja race) who came to Earth to hunt for human beings. Predator is the director's first major box office success. Technically advanced, it is a huge step forward in the field of special effects [no source] and it is also the progenitor of a trilogy that, apart from the alien, will see the cast renewed from time to time. The first sequel is titled Predator 2 (1990), while the second is titled Predators (2010); a new chapter, titled The Predator, will be released in 2018.
