Ring made of 925 Silver, which is part of the "Animalia" collection depicting a chimpanzee.
Chimpanzees are on average 80 to 130 cm tall on all fours and weigh 35–45 kg for females and 45–65 kg for males. The males are larger than the females, and when they stand up on the hind legs they reach even 160 cm in height, while the latter generally do not exceed 130. The color of the hair is usually very dark and tending to black, even if it does exceptional cases of albino chimpanzees are recorded.
They live in more or less numerous herds, composed of males, females and cubs. Guiding them are usually the males. One of the most curious activities of the pack is that of mutual "grooming", which is an important factor of social aggregation. Chimpanzees are mostly vegetarians but don't mind meat. They are mainly arboreal animals. However, they also spend a lot of time on the ground, and usually build a nest among the branches for the night. Their main natural enemy is the leopard, which ambushes them at night and kills them by biting them in the throat.
