Jewel made entirely by hand by the Italian craftsman Gianmarco Fontana. This “Shohoku” ring is part of the “Otaku” collection.
Slam Dunk (Suramu Danku) is a thirty-one volume "spoken manga" (sports comic) written and drawn by Takehiko Inoue and set in the world of high school basketball, centered on the events of the Japanese high school team Shohoku.
An anime of one hundred and one episodes was drawn from the work, the broadcast of which began on October 16, 1993, and four OAVs. The anime follows the story told in the manga, presenting only slight changes in the ending (in the anime, the story ends earlier than in the manga); the OAVs, on the other hand, are independent from the series and tell separate stories not present in the print version.
Slam Dunk treats the issue of sport with a lot of humor, with the protagonist Hanamichi Sakuragi, often in the foreground with his tragicomic situations, but also a topic as current as it is delicate as bullying in schools; the style of the drawings, moreover, occasionally makes use of the super deformed, especially to highlight the childish behavior of the protagonists.
In this manga / anime project, we represented three of the most charismatic characters in the series: the protagonist Hanamichi Sakuragi, Kaede Rukawa, the antagonist / friend of Hanamichi and Takenori Akagi, mentor and captain of the Shohoku team.
