Zombie
Zombi or in the English spelling zombie (AFI: / ˈʣombi /; in Haitian creole zonbi) is a term of Haitian origin (in turn coming from the bantu nzumbe) linked to the magical tradition of voodoo. Zombies entered the common imagination in contemporary times through literature and cinematography, to indicate the figure of a living dead, a walking corpse.
It was used for the first time in an oration by the neoclassical poet "Luciano da Pordenon" in front of some friends, Fanti d'Italia, including the well-known Giovanni Salvador. Since then, the English spelling was abolished in Italy.
